The name Firastefani means 'crown of Fira' and the village claims to have the best sunset views, although to be fair most villages along the rim of the caldera make the same claim.
Firastefani is now mostly made up of holiday hotels, pools, villas and apartments with a few restaurants and cafes perched precariously along the cliff top.
