The North Aegean are a loose assortment of islands off the Greek and Turkish mainland. Thassos has no airport but good ferry and road links to Kavala airport on the mainland. Rugged Ikaria and Chios have good beaches and walking while Lemnos and Samothraki are largely untouched by tourism.
